Nov 27 - Nov 29
Pine Crest Middle and Upper School choruses from the Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale campuses were adjudicated against National Choral Standards of Excellence at the Florida Vocal Association Music Performance Assessments (MPA) recently.
“These are required performances for Florida Schools,” said Mr. Michael Testa, Choral Director on the Fort Lauderdale campus. “Think standardized testing for music. They are necessary for our students to remain active and eligible for Solo and Ensemble competitions as well as the All-State Chorus.”
The Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale Middle School choruses received a Superior rating in Sight Reading, and an overall rating of Excellent.
The Upper School chorus received a Superior rating in addition to receiving a Superior rating for sight reading rhythms and melodies, qualifying them for the State MPAs scheduled for April 18 to 20.
Congratulations to all!
