Pine Crest School announces new leadership and members for the 2019-20 school year.
Michele Stocker ’83 has been elected Chair and Suzanne Sandow has been elected Vice Chair of Pine Crest School’s Board of Trustees. Four new members — George LeMieux, Mark Malis, Todd Rosenberg ’95, and Randi Stanley — have been appointed to the Board.
As parents of Pine Crest students and longtime volunteer leaders, Ms. Stocker and Mrs. Sandow are deeply invested in the School. Professionally, Ms. Stocker is a commercial litigator who serves as Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Consumer Financial Services Litigation Practice.
“As a graduate of Pine Crest, I am truly honored to serve as the Board Chair,” said Michele. “I look forward to partnering with Dr. Markham ’18H and the administration in our shared mission to provide a safe and positive learning environment for our excellent students and faculty.”
Mrs. Sandow is Of Counsel for SANDOW®, a multifaceted, international corporation focused on building businesses driven by innovation and design. During her tenure as a Trustee, she has chaired several committees, including Advancement and Strategic Planning, and she created the much-loved Pine Crest keepsake box to welcome newly admitted students.
“I look forward to serving Pine Crest in this capacity with Michele, who brings a valuable historical perspective to our Board,” said Mrs. Sandow. “Further, it is an honor to work alongside Dr. Markham, whose forward-thinking leadership has been an integral part of taking Pine Crest to the next level.”
For the past two years, Ms. Stocker served as Vice Chair with David Kirschner, who will now serve as Immediate Past Chair. Pine Crest President Dr. Markham recognized Mr. Kirschner at the final meeting of the year.
“David has served as a volunteer leader for more than 10 years, including roles as an Ambassador Council member, a Trustee, a Committee Chair, and Chair,” said Dr. Markham. “He is truly an advocate for our school, and I know he will continue to be as Ex-Officio and parent of an alumna, junior, and seventh grader. I speak on behalf of our administration and faculty that we are grateful for David’s steadfast support of everything we do for students.”
