Chorus Members Advance to State Festival
February 20th 2020
Twenty-two (22) Upper and Middle School chorus students performed at the District 15 Florida Vocal Association (FVA) Solo and Ensemble Festival recently.
Students are required to sing from a classical solo repertoire for judges based on national standards such as memorization, beauty of voice, and intonation.
Middle School students must sing one classical selection, while Upper School students must sing two selections in varying languages and styles.
The students received 12 superior ratings, the highest rating possible, and 10 excellent ratings.
Nine Upper School singers have advanced to perform at the FVA State Festival this April.
