The Pine Crest School track and field teams competed at the 2A Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) regional championship meet.
The girls’ team finished 12th. Hannah Fowler ’22 finished as the region runner-up in the javelin competition, Denae Boothe ’22 was fourth in the 100 meter hurdles, and Mahdere Yared ’21 was fourth in the 1600 meter run.
The boys’ team finished 14th. The boys’ 4x800 meter relay team earned the region championship title. Max Dudak ’22, Luke Fatovic ’21, Jack Gabrielle ’23, and Connor Berne ’21, qualified to compete at the state meet, with alternates Connor Norris ’21, Chase O’Brien ’21, Vaughn Komorech ’22, and Jaret Rozanski ’23.
The FHSAA state championship meet will be held on Saturday, May 8 in Jacksonville, Florida.
