As the 2020-21 school year ends, Pine Crest student-athletes and coaches are celebrating two consecutive years of state championship teams bringing in the most titles in School history.
“There has never been a year when Pine Crest teams have won more than two state championships,” said Pine Crest Athletic Director Jeff Johnson. “It’s a true testament to the hard work student-athletes are putting into their sports, and the entire Athletic Department, from the weight room staff and trainers to the coaches who continue to guide their athletes to safer and stronger performances.”
Although the 2019-20 sports seasons were cut short due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, three teams brought home state championship titles: boys’ swimming and diving, girls’ swimming and diving, and girls’ cross country.
For 2020-21, Pine Crest student-athletes brought home four state championships: girls’ swimming and diving, boys’ basketball, girls’ scholastic crew, and boys’ tennis. This is in addition to the nine individual state championship titleholders from both swimming and diving teams, both tennis teams, and girls’ crew.
Congratulations, and Go Panthers!
