Pine Crest Upper School students Joshua Martoma ’24 and Sophie Whiteside ’24 received Silver Knight Awards from the Miami Herald Silver Knight Awards Program.

Joshua earned the Silver Knight Award in the Social Science category, and Sophie earned the award in the Speech category. 

The Silver Knight Awards are one of the nation’s most highly regarded student award and scholarship programs. This program recognizes outstanding high school seniors who have maintained good grades and unselfishly applied their special knowledge and talents to contribute significant service to their schools and communities. One Silver Knight Award and three Honorable Mention Awards are given per category in Broward County from a field of 750 applicants.

Additionally, two Pine Crest students were named Honorable Mentions:

Sara Pearl Adler ’24: Honorable Mention Award; Athletics Category
Rebecca Friedman ’24: Honorable Mention Award; Music and Dance
