Athletic Awards & Achievements

Six Pine Crest School track and field student-athletes have received All-American designation by the National High School Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (NHSTFXCCA).

The NHSTFXCCA's All-American designation is new this year and was established in collaboration with MileSplit, a division of FloSports. The program provides an opportunity for high school student-athletes to be acknowledged for exemplary achievements during their respective scholastic seasons.

Pine Crest’s Coach Paul Baur, Program Director for Cross Country and Track and Field, and current Vice President of the NHSTFXCCA, has been working with the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) over the past 10 years to get the All-American program off the ground.

"The scholastic season is important to the development of track and field, and I wanted to create a way to recognize athletes for their performances,” said Coach Baur. “Giving athletes a goal to achieve and then being able to reward them as an All-American while the season is still going on is an incredible way to honor them.”

Congratulations to:
Aiden Holtz ’24 - Hammer
Rowan Sundevall ’26 - Javelin
Lucas Azout ’25 - 4x100m Relay
Erick Villari ’25 - 4x100m Relay
William Reese ’25 - 4x100m Relay
Will Davila ’24 - 4x100m Relay

“In the coming years, we will continue to expand the program,” Coach Baur continued, “creating a Freshman All-American program and hosting the first pre-season All-American Meet that will take place in December 2024 in South Florida! The heart of the program is athlete recognition, but through the NHSTFXCCA, our mission is to expand educational opportunities and further the profession of coaching Track and Field and Cross Country.”
