Pine Crest School Chorus Singers Compete at District Solo and Ensemble Festival

Pine Crest School chorus members from the Middle and Upper Schools on the Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale campuses competed at their respective Florida Vocal Association's District Solo and Ensemble festivals.
Classical and musical theater soloists and ensembles are judged on national standards for performance level, musicianship, and beauty of tone.
Middle School singers were represented by 16 from the Boca Raton campus and 16 from the Fort Lauderdale campus, earning a combined 26 superior ratings, which is the highest possible honor one can receive on a music performance assessment.
For the Upper School, 26 singers performed more than 60 songs, earning 10 superior and 16 excellent ratings. The superior ratings will advance eight Upper School singers to the state festival from March 30 to April 1 at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach.
