Nov 27 - Nov 29
Pine Crest Upper School students Caterina Farrell ’26, Maya Todorov 26, alumna Mira Sarigollu ’24 and art instructor Nino Liguori have been recognized at the national level by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards from the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers for their original artwork.
The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. Through the Awards program, the Alliance, whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent, offers teens the opportunity to receive a scholarship and have their work exhibited and published.
Caterina, Mira and Mr. Liguori were awarded gold medals for their work, and Maya received a silver medal.
The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards have a long tradition of recognition and acknowledgment of educators who take their students to the national level and earn gold or silver medals. Mr. Liguori was also recognized in 2019 and 2020 with other Pine Crest medal recipients.
All four individuals have been awarded at the state and regional levels over the course of six months to be adjudicated at the national level.
Congratulations to all!
