Upper School Awards & Achievements

Upper School student Freddy Rosenthal ’26 earned first place at Pine Crest School’s Poetry Out Loud event recently.

Poetry Out Loud encourages students to learn about poetry through memorization and recitation. The program supports students mastering their public speaking skills, building their self-confidence and learning about literary history and contemporary life.

Freddy recited "God of War" by Sergio Lima to earn the top spot. He will advance to the Poetry Out Loud state final in March.

Freddy was one of 37 Upper School students who recited poems from memory. The second place finisher was Kobi Weitzman ’27, and there was a three-way tie for third place between Will Gabrielle ’25, Kristen Newell ’25 and Matthew Pollok ’26.

Congratulations to all!
