Upper School Awards & Achievements

Pine Crest Upper School students in the three-year science research program were invited to present their research at the 60th Annual Junior Science Engineering Humanities Symposium recently.

The symposium is a three-day science conference for nine through 12 grade high school students, select middle school students, teachers and parents. Sponsored by the University of Florida’s (UF) Center for Precollegiate Education and Training, the National Science Teachers Association, the Army Education Outreach Program, and the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force research offices.

The conference is designed to search out talented youth and help them develop their interests and abilities in science. During the conference, students interacted with UF faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students to explore university-level research, learn about science and humanities majors, and discover career opportunities.

The following students were recognized in the Speaker Division:

Joshua Martoma ’24, (Third place, State Award Recognition)

Max Winnick ’23 (Fourth place, State Award Recognition)
