Pine Crest School DECA Advances to International Career Development Conference

Pine Crest School’s DECA chapter competed in the Florida state DECA Competition recently. 

DECA is an international association of high school and college students and teachers of marketing, finance, hospitality, and management whose mission is to prepare leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in those fields.

The Pine Crest chapter advanced 54 students to compete at the state level, with 14 of them qualifying for the International Career Development Conference (ICDC). 

Lara Jones ’22 who placed first in the Principles of Finance category, and Natalie Berman ’21 won the Alex Schachter Florida DECA Scholarship. This scholarship is given to a student who exemplifies leadership and success in DECA and plans to major in business or finance in college.
