The Pine Crest School girls cross country team has earned the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) regional championship title.
This is the ninth regional title for the team since 2012.
“The girls came into the meet as an 11 point underdog to St. Brendan, last year’s regional champions and state runner-up,” said Coach Paul Baur, Cross Country Head Coach and Program Head. “However, they won key battles to win the championship by one point, 63-62!”
Brooke Hooper ’24 led the team placing runner-up in the region.
The boys team also competed at the regional meet finishing seventh out of 16 teams.
Both teams will advance to compete for the state championship title on Saturday, November 5 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.
Congratulations, and Go Panthers!
