Pine Crest Middle and Upper School Technology Student Association (TSA) teams competed at the Florida TSA State Competition recently.
TSA is a national organization of middle and high school students engaged in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). TSA chapters take the study of STEAM beyond the classroom and allow students to pursue academic challenges among peers with similar goals and interests.
Competitions are categorized by Architecture and Construction Technology, Communications Technology, Computer Science and Information Technology, Leadership, Manufacturing and Transportation Technology, STEM (General), STEM and the Arts, and Technology and Research.
Pine Crest’s Middle School team placed fourth overall, with one first-place title and multiple state awards.
The Upper School team placed third overall, with five first-place state titles, and multiple state awards in 37 events. Additionally, Aidan Pender ’24 received a Florida Technology and Engineering Senior Scholarship, and Sophia Wang ’24 and Mehak Gadh ’24 were inducted into the TSA National Honor Society.
Both teams qualify to compete this summer at the national TSA competition in Orlando, Florida.
