Fine Arts Awards & Achievements

Fourteen (14) Pine Crest Upper School visual art students have been recognized by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards from the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers for their original artwork.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the oldest and most prestigious creative arts recognition program in the nation. Through the Awards program, the Alliance, whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent, offers teens the opportunity to receive a scholarship and have their work exhibited and published.

Maura Pliske ’20 earned three Gold Keys, two Silver Keys, an Honorable Mention, and an American Visions Award Nomination. This national recognition is a first for Pine Crest. Maura’s work is already being considered for publication in addition to the national award.

Gold and Silver Keys honorees’ award-winning works will be on display at the Young At Art Museum in Davie from Friday, February 14 to Monday, March 16, 2019.
