The award seeks to recognize student-athletes who represent the core mission of education-based activities through athletics and the arts.
As the winner of the FHSAA award, Joshua received a $1,500 scholarship and will be submitted to the National Federation of State High School Athletic Associations (NFHS) as the FHSAA’s nomination for the national Heart of the Arts Award.
Joshua is a member of the varsity boys’ cross country team. In addition, he plays with the Upper School orchestra and has taken extensive coursework in the visual arts, including Advanced Placement (AP) Sculpture and Ceramics, Post AP Studio Art, and AP and Post AP Art History.
