Pine Crest School boys’ and girls’ track and field teams have advanced athletes to the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) regional meet.

The boys’ team has qualified to compete in eight events at the regional level after finishing fifth in the district. 

The girls’ team will send nine student-athletes to the meet to compete in seven events after finishing fourth in the district. Lily McCarthy ’23 earned the district title for the javelin with a throw of 32.47 meters, and Elaina Hamuy ’22 earned the district championship in the pole vault competition.

The regional meet will be held on Saturday, May 1 at Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale.
