Pine Crest Upper School Chorus Members Advance to State Festival

Fine Arts Awards & Achievements


Twenty Six (26) Pine Crest Middle and Upper School chorus members competed at the Florida Vocal Association (FVA) Broward County District Solo & Ensemble Competition recently.

Students performed 31 songs from four categories: Classical Solo, Classical Duets, Musical Theater Solo, and Musical Theater Duets.

Carys Edwards ’22 received Superior ratings in all three categories. This year, Carys has also performed with the All State Chorus and All State Modern Band in addition to being one of three vocalists chosen nationally for the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All-National Modern Band.

In total, students earned 21 Superior and 10 Excellent ratings for their performances, the two highest ratings possible.
  
Of the attendees, 14 Upper School chorus members are eligible to perform at the State Solo and Ensemble Festival from March 31 to April 2, 2022.
