Fine Arts Awards & Achievements

Pine Crest Upper School student-artists have been recognized nationally by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards from the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers for their original work.

Maura Pliske ’20 and Natalie Klar ’19 received National Silver Medal Keys for their art, and Ilana Hutzler ’20 was recognized with Gold and Silver Medals as well as the American Voices Medal for her poetry.

Earlier this year, Natalie and Maura were awarded regional Gold Keys for their artwork, and Ilana was awarded with Gold and Silver Keys for her poetry at the regional level, advancing their works to be judged nationally.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the oldest and most prestigious creative arts recognition program in the nation. Through the Awards program, the Alliance, whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent, offers teens the opportunity to receive a scholarship and have their work exhibited and published.

All National Medalists are recognized at a ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Congratulations!
