Student Wins Youth Sailing World Championship Gold Medal

The sailors competed at the 48th edition of the 2019 Hempel Youth Sailing World Championship in Gdynia, Poland this summer representing Team U.S.A. Their first place title follows the team’s silver medal victory from last year’s Championship regatta.
More than 400 sailors from 66 nations competed in the world’s most prestigious youth sailing regatta. The championship attracts the best youth sailors from around the world chosen to represent their home countries.
This year, Casaretto/Puig won the regatta with an impressive five first place finishes in 13 races and a 22-point lead.
