Cross Country Competes at Great American Cross Country Festival

“Our runners did an outstanding job,” said Coach Paul Baur, Cross Country Program Head. “The team set 12 new personal records and three season-best times at the meet.”
The girls, who took third place out of 23 teams, were invited to participate in the Nike Race of Champions later this fall. Their time is the third-fastest team average in Florida history.
The girls’ team placed second among teams from the Southeast region and defeated the defending state championship team to be ranked as the number one team in Florida for all classifications.
The boys’ team placed ninth out of 55 teams and ran a season-best time.
“We are very proud of their efforts and anticipate a charge toward the postseason,” said Coach Baur.
