Upper School Competition

The Pine Crest Upper School Social Entrepreneurship class traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to compete in the Diamond Challenge recently.

The Diamond Challenge is the world’s top-rated entrepreneurship competition for high school students. The competition was created through Horn Entrepreneurship, which is the creative engine for entrepreneurship education and advancement at the University of Delaware

The Challenge welcomed 765 teams from 55 countries and 32 states who submitted their ideas for either the social innovation track or the business innovation track. More than 5,000 students engaged in the Diamond Challenge 2020. Invited participants had the opportunity to pitch their ideas at one of the 29 pitch event locations around the world.

Pine Crest entered five teams into the competition, with the CEDO team placing second overall in the competition. CEDO pitched a software application that would enable users to give electronically to the homeless.

Congratulations to all!
