Pine Crest School Tennis Teams Earn FHSAA State Championships

Pine Crest School boys’ and girls’ tennis student-athletes earned three Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) 2A state championship titles recently.

The boys’ tennis team earned the 2A state championship title, which is the second state championship for the team in School history. Congratulations to Jamie Corsillo ’21, Andrew Pereverzev ’21, Kenny Chan ’24, Jason Berinstein ’24, Krisztian Meszaros ’23, and Jonathan Fromkin ’23.

Members of the boys’ and girls’ teams also competed in the individual championship events. Akasha Urhobo ’25 won the 2A girls’ singles state championship, and Jamie Corsillo ’21 won the boys’ singles title. Jamie and Andrew Pereverzev ’21 finished as doubles state runner-up. 

The state tournament concludes a successful season for Pine Crest tennis. The boys’ team was undefeated and the girls’ team only lost to the eventual state champions.
