Upper School Awards & Achievements

The Pine Crest Upper School yearbook, The Crestian, has earned three Gold Circle Awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA).

The Gold Circle Awards recognize superior work by student journalists—as individuals or as an entire staff—working with either print or online media. The awarded work was published from October 2, 2019 through October 12, 2020 in schools and colleges throughout the United States, and in overseas schools that follow an American plan of education.

Gold Circle Award categories attracted almost 5,000 print and digital media entries in 91 categories. After a lengthy evaluation and selection process, judges awarded either First, Second, Third Place, or Certificates of Merit for those entries deemed of the greatest quality in a category.

The awards recognized work published in the 2019-20 edition of The Crestian, “This is Who We Are.
