Pine Crest School student-athlete Brooke Hooper ’24 earned her first state championship title for the 1,600-meter race at the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) 2A Track and Field Championship meet.

“Brooke came into the meet determined to win her first state title,” said Coach Paul Baur, Pine Crest Track and Field Program Director. “She was undefeated all year in the 1,600 meter, winning all six races coming into the state meet along with being the number one seed and having the fastest time all season long.”

Brooke also competed in the 3,200 meter race where she placed state runner-up.

Brooke and Rowan Sundevall ’26 competed at the state championship meet. Rowan competed in the javelin event and placed seventh in the state.

Brooke and Rowan were eligible for competition after their performances at the FHSAA 2A regional meet. Brooke won the regional championship for the 1,600 and the 3,200 meter races. Rowan placed region runner-up for the javelin.

Congratulations, and Go Panthers!
