Students Travel to Chinese Language Competition
February 25th 2015
The competition was established to encourage students to have fun using the knowledge they learn at school; to share and learn about what other students are doing; and to further motivate their learning. Students compete with themselves in a variety of individual academic activities, including reading, writing, and speaking according to each student's level. Each student receives a certification of ranking for each event in which he or she participates. Teams can also compete in JEOPARDY! style games.
In addition to the competitions, there are also social events and cultural performances during the event. Students have an outstanding opportunity to test their emerging language skills, evaluate their own progress in Chinese, experience Chinese culture, and interact with other students and teachers who also have the same interest in learning the Chinese language and Culture.
