Pine Crest Upper School Newspaper Earns National Recognition

Upper School Awards & Achievements


The Pine Crest Upper School newspaper, The Paw Print, has earned national recognition by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA).

The newspaper was designated a Silver Medalist as part of the annual critique given by the CSPA to scholastic media across the country, scoring 774 points out of a possible 1,000. The critique provides feedback for improvement as well as recognizing the strengths of the publication. 

“We were complimented on our growing multimedia work as well as the strong quality of writing,” said Mr. Nicholas Lowe, Upper School Mathematics Instructor and Faculty Sponsor for The Paw Print. 

The Paw Print is a club with more than 50 writers and is published monthly to its website, pcpawprint.com. The newspaper has consistently received a Silver Medal or above ranking in the CSPA annual critique.
