Awards & Achievements Upper School

Pine Crest Upper School digital media students competed in the 2022 Student Television Network (STN) Fall Nationals competition recently.

Abdel Abou Shousha ’23 earned first place with his animated commercial while Matthew Norkin ’24 and Jack Rogovin ’24 received an honorable mention in the Sports Highlights category.

Abdel's task was to produce a 30-second creative piece focused on selling a product or service. Matthew and Jack made a compilation video edited from game footage that showcased the best moments from a sporting event as a reporter delivers key stats and commentary.

“Abdel is completely self-taught in the animation software he used to make his commercial,” said Mrs. Joanna Szymanski, Upper School Digital Media Instructor. “Matthew and Jack are only in their second year of digital media coursework, so to place nationally is a huge accomplishment. I am very proud of all three of them!”

Congratulations!
