Upper School Awards & Achievements

Pine Crest’s Upper School yearbook, “The Crestian,” has been recognized by the Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA) and the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA).

The 2022 edition was titled “It's the Little Things” and received the All-Florida designation with special recognition for layout, design, and essentials.

“This is the third consecutive year that the yearbook has received the All-Florida status by the FSPA,” said Mrs. Patty Gómez, The Crestian Adviser, Upper School Spanish Instructor, and World Languages Department Chair. “The designation goes to books that consistently exhibit attributes of an effective scholastic publication.”

The NSPA awarded the book First Class with two mof distinction for coverage and writing/editing.

“We are particularly excited about the NSPA feedback,” continued Mrs. Gómez. “Achieving marks of distinction from this organization is not an easy feat. I am really excited for our program and proud of seeing our students engage in such a powerful way with this medium. Our publication was recognized as an excellent and complete account of our academic community's experience.”

Congratulations to the yearbook staff!
