Pine Crest Upper School students Austin Stanise ’25, Sam Anidjar ’26 and Dashiel Berk ’26 placed first in the nation with their broadcast package at the annual Student Television Network (STN) Spring Nationals competition.

The team of three won the Human Interest Feature Story for the feature they produced about their friend and peer Will Gabrielle ’24. In addition to their first-in-the-nation recognition at STN, the broadcast package received the All Florida distinction from the Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA) in the 2024 Spring Digital competition.

Recently, Austin, Sam and Dashiel learned that the broadcast was chosen as an Official Selection for the 2024 All American High School Film Festival. The piece was chosen out of more than 2500 submissions from all 50 states and more than 40 countries and will be screened at the AMC Theaters in Times Square during the festival weekend from October 18 to October 20, 2024. 

The Official Selection puts the students in the running for various awards including scholarships and other prizes.
