Middle School Junior Thespian Troupe Earns Superior Recognition at State Festival

The Pine Crest Middle School junior thespians competed at the Florida State Junior Thespian Festival recently.

Twenty-nine (29) Middle School thespians from the Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale campuses competed against 160 troupes representing middle schools from across the state.

The festival included guest speakers playwright Don Zolidis and actor/director Aaron Jackson, main stage productions of The Addams Family and West Side Story, and performance and technical workshops.

Students earned 22 superior and excellent ratings, with Sabrina Shibao ’23 earning a perfect score in the Costume Design category.
