The Pine Crest School boys varsity tennis team earned their second consecutive Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) state championship title.

The team won 23 of 26 matches while advancing through the FHSAA region and state series rounds. After winning their district tournament, the boys’ team defeated North Broward Prep, American Heritage, Bolles, and MAST Academy.

The 2A State Final was a rematch of last year against Satellite High School in Satellite Beach, as the Panthers swept the match in the first four matches earning the back-to-back championship.

The team was led by senior Zaid Abuhamda ’22 and Kenneth Chan ’23 who made a remarkable return from injury just as the post season began, giving Pine Crest the edge to stay on top in Florida.

The girls’ team also competed at the state championship tournament but lost in the semi final round.

Congratulations, and Go Panthers!
