Nov 27 - Nov 29
A group of four Pine Crest Upper School students competed at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) Innovate South Florida competition recently.
The team of Frank Belette ’20, Ari Wilson ’20, Jaimin Khakhria ’20, and Jared Gould ’20 pitched an idea for a food allergy detector.
The NFTE hosts the annual Innovate South Florida competition to raise money to support entrepreneurship programs in lower-income schools.
Pine Crest Upper School Economics Instructor Andrew Kashdan held a smaller version of the competition to determine which business plan would represent the School at Innovate South Florida. The participating students were instructed to create a seven-to ten-minute presentation that included the idea, target market, demographics, financial statements, and expansion.
Congratulations!
