Pine Crest Upper School students in the three-year science research program presented their original research at the Florida Junior Academy of Science (FJAS) recently.
The FJAS is the Florida chapter of the American Junior Academy of Science (AJAS) and is affiliated with the Florida Academy of Sciences. The AJAS is an American honor society recognizing America's premier high school students for outstanding scientific research.

Students who placed in their respective categories are eligible for sponsorship as a research fellow to the AJAS and the opportunity to present their research at the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS) Annual Meeting, a preeminent gathering of international scientists and multi-disciplinary research held each year in February.
Maya Hoteit ’23 and Daniel Wilentz ’23, newly inducted AJAS Honors Fellows, attended the AAAS meeting in Washington, D.C. as a result of their presenting at the Florida Junior Academy in 2022 and placing in their respective category.
