Upper School Competition


Thirty-nine (39) Pine Crest Upper School DECA club members competed at the State Career Development Conference recently. The students qualified for the State Conference by placing in the top 16 at the Broward County District Competition. 

DECA is an international association of high school and college students, professionals, and teachers of marketing, finance, hospitality, and management whose mission is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in those fields.

The following students qualified for DECA’s international competition, which will be held from April 22 to 25, 2022 in Orlando, FL by placing in the top seven in their categories:

Jason Berinstein ’24, Accounting, first place 
Madison Huang ’23, Entrepreneurship, ninth place
Jonah Ferber ’24, Business Finance, second place
Michael Krymski ’25, Business Finance, seventh place
Danielle Keyes ’24, Apparel Accessories Marketing, fifth place
Miraa Shukla ’23, Apparel Accessories Marketing, ninth place
Kyla Truong ’23 and Daniel Kathein ’23, Financial Services Team Decision Making, second place
Akshat Badgamia ’23 and Sean Anagnoste ’23, Financial Services Team Decision Making, fifth place
Matthew Amunategui ’24 and Jayden Engelhardt ’23, Marketing Team Decision Making, fifth place
